Important details about UnCommon-Core.com

We expect that the person who turns in the completed assignments is the same person who did the work. If we have reason to doubt that the work is original to the person who submits it, UCC will not award a certificate of completion.

Completed assignments and assessments must earn a score of 70% or higher in order to receive a certificate of completion. If work has not been completed in accordance with the directions, it will be returned. Work can be resubmitted during the course of one year from the date of purchase and UCC will re-evaluate the work.

UnCommon-Core has complete authority when scoring and granting Clock Hour Certificates. We take this responsibility very seriously. We strive to create an encouraging, nurturing online environment. UnCommon-Core has the right to withhold or confer Clock Hour Certificates according to our standards and in order to uphold the integrity of our work. UnCommon-Core has the sole authority to award or withhold Clock Hour Certificates from this site.

It is the teacher’s responsibility to make sure that clock hour certificates earned through UnCommon-Core.com will satisfy district requirements towards renewing their teacher’s license. It is extremely unlikely that a full or partial refund would be awarded due to the fact that class materials are delivered immediately upon purchase. Refunds require up to four months from approval date to process.

Courses cost $10 per hour. Upon successful completion of each course, teachers will be able to download an official Certificate of Participation documenting the clock hours earned. The courses are offered on a pass/fail basis. Participants must answer 70% or more of the quiz questions in order to pass. UnCommon-Core.com has the right to award or withhold Certificates of Participation at our discretion.

Clock hours are assigned to each course based on the time a typical student would take to complete the content.

All sales are final.

UnCommon-Core.com is not responsible for ensuring that specific school districts use the clock hours documented in our Certificates of Participation as part of the teacher recertification process.

We will, of course, work with the district  so that Certificates of Participation from UnCommon-Core.com are accepted, however, we cannot guarantee what specific school districts will decide.

A Mindful Exploration of Proper Fractions

Help your students make sense of fractions.

I started teaching in 1987, which means I’ve collected many tips and tricks along the way.  In this ebook, I share concepts, strategies, and classroom materials to help you make math sticky.

Along with this useful ebook, you will receive weekly emails from StickyMath@UnCommon-Core.com. I send information like: teacher tips, educational ideas, book reviews, curated lists, reviews of educational sites, and free first drafts of products that I’m creating for my TPT store. That way, you get helpful ideas and free stuff, while I get some feedback before I finalize products and put them up for sale.

I value your privacy. I will never sell your information. You may unsubscribe at any time.

All the best!
